For example, Harry Solis Zacarias and his wife Milagros Bailon, local entrepreneurs, have just inaugurated a new coffee shop called "Aromas de Monzon", located in the Tres Quebradas sector, in the hamlet of Santa Rosa de Pacchac, where visitors will enjoy, in addition to the flavor and aroma of the coffee, a spectacular landscape, and climate.

This enterprise stands out for its commitment to the use of coffee, a high-quality product with sustainable techniques that support small producers and strengthen alternative, integral, and sustainable development in this area, previously known as a focus of drug trafficking and now the Peruvian State, through Devida, promotes it as the Peru Model of productive development.

"Coffee has given farmers more income than coca leaf," said Harry Solis during the inauguration of his business. "Behind me, there are many farmers, thanks to them I am here, they are the ones who cultivate the coffee plantations. Thanks to them I am promoting coffee at a national and international level; Monzon coffee reached Chile and Ukraine", he added.

In this way, coffee production has become one of the main sources of income and employment. Farmers, with specialized technical assistance from Devida, work hard to ensure that each bean is of the highest quality. "Coffee moves the economy in Monzón if it is profitable," indicates Harry, at the same time that his wife Milagros, thanks Devida for its great support.

From the opening of new coffee shops to the creation of value-added products, coffee entrepreneurs are setting a trend in the industry and contributing to the development of this district and the Huanuco region. Undoubtedly, these ventures are proof that coffee is not only a beverage, but a source of inspiration and articulation to the local market.
